Thank you for your interest in the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) and in the opportunity to join us as our new Chief Executive following Dr Owen Williams’ announcement that he will be stepping down in September. I hope that you will enjoy finding out more about us on this site.
The NCA is one of the largest Trusts in England and our 20,000 dedicated colleagues provide hospital and integrated health and community services to over one million people living across the diverse communities of Salford, Oldham, Rochdale and Bury as well as specialist services to patients from Greater Manchester and beyond. We are a large, complex organisation operating in a dynamic health and care system in Greater Manchester.
Our next Chief Executive will join as we embed our new Clinical Leadership Model which promotes our ability to work consistently and share best practice, innovation and expertise across our sites. We will do this while continuing our strong commitment to integrating services with our partners and communities within our four distinct places and populations. We are demonstrating good progress as we openly address quality and financial challenges in our services and are committed to enhancing the health of our local populations and reducing inequalities by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with key partners.
This is an exceptional and complex leadership role with the opportunity to make a significant difference to the quality and consistency of services, experience and outcomes of our population and workforce. Our new Chief Executive will lead an experienced and highly motivated executive team and work closely with me and our supportive board. We are looking for a visible, inclusive and compassionate leader who will inspire and motivate our people with a clear vision during a time of significant opportunity alongside continued challenge. Working in close partnership with colleagues across our footprints, this is a fantastic opportunity to enable integrated, population‑focused services that promote prevention, wellbeing and the reduction of inequalities.
